Origami of the Day

I will create one piece of origami a day, then paste the photos of that piece of origami here.


Day 0

Here are some origami pieces I made before starting the origami a day blog.

I got this piece, the pinwheel, from a sheet of paper I found with my origami supplies.



The first piece is a fairly common piece called the star box, that can be found in many different origami books. It was fairly easy to make. It starts with the paper crane base, then there are a few additional steps that differ.




I got this piece from my Geo Gami book, a book on Geometric Origami. I forget the name as of typing this, but I fill it in later.





This piece, again is from my Geo Gami book. A lot of pieces will come from that book.






Day 1:

I created multiple pieces of origami today. The first relied on a crease template with mountain and valley folds.

The second piece of origami I created was a box from a chinese origami book called (... name here…)

Day 2

For Christmas this year (2017) I got a Pokemon origami book, this Pikachu came from that book.



Day 3

This piece came from the same chines origami book as on day 1. It's a rabbit.



Day 4

This piece came from the same origami book as on day 1. It's a fish.


Day 5

Here is another piece from my Pokemon origami book.


Day 6

Here is another box from the Chinese origami book. I store my coins in boxes like these.


Day 7

Here is yet another piece from the Chinese origami book.



Day 8

Here is a crane and another piece from the Chinese origami book. The piece on the left is called Chinese junk.



Day 9

Here are too boxes that are miniature.




Day 10

Here is a crow from the Beautiful Origami book.



Day 11

Here is a gyroscope from my Geo Gami book. If you hold it lightly between the palms of your hand and blow on it, it will turn.


Day 12

Day 14

This is a pencil case or irregular dodecahedron with pentagonal openings from the Geo Gami book.
